Hi, I’m Deserea and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m the creator of the Shed & Shine System and was named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 30 Under 30, but titles are not the most important part of my story.

What truly matters is that I have been where you are. I know what it feels like to try every diet, chase motivation, feel overwhelmed by symptoms, and wonder why nothing seems to stick. I was not just trying to lose weight. I was trying to feel grounded, capable, and in control of my life again.

My turning point came after losing 100 pounds and rebuilding my habits, health, and identity from the inside out. Along the way, I studied psychology, neurobiology, and holistic nutrition, and finally understood why so many women struggle. We are taught how to diet but not how to eat. We are taught how to push harder but not how to regulate stress. We are taught to aim for perfection but not to build systems that last.

Shed and Shine was created from that realization. It is a space where we trade quick fixes for real life tools. It is where fitness, food, and behavior change come together. It is where women learn to understand their bodies, support their metabolism, and build habits they can actually maintain.

This is not about perfection. It is about consistency, confidence, and becoming the kind of woman who follows through because she finally understands what her body needs.
